Kambachen is the beautiful high-altitude village that was once the traditional trade route to Nepal-Tibet, situated in the Taplejung district. You will reach Kambachen on the 8th to 10th day of Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek. This village lies at an altitude of 3,830 m above sea level. It is the ultimate charming Tibetan village of the Kanchenjunga Region which is one of the best places to acclimatize for trekkers and climbers. This village offers one of the best views of Mt. Kumbakarna too. You can explore many places during your stay at Kambachen.

Kumbhakarna ViewPoint 

Altitude: 4,420 m/14,530 ft

Kumbhakarna ViewPoint 4,420m is one of the best days hiking during your acclimatization period. It takes about 2-3 hours to reach Kumbakarna Viewpoint. Known as Janu Viewpoint it is located in the lap of Mt.Kumbhakarna 7,710m. Kumbhakarna View Point is popular for beautiful Himalayan scenery and hiking for your acclimatization. This mountain is a famous and holy place in Eastern Nepal for Limbu People. Many limbs people visit here to worship the Kirat god and goddess to fulfill their dream.

Tibet Border

Altitude: 4,870 m/ 15,978 ft

From Kambachen, it takes about 4-5 hours to reach near Tibet Border. On the way, the trail may appear unclear as there are several Yak trails. Along the way, there are beautiful sights of Kumbhakarna in the distance, as well as Chang Himal (6,802 m) as you are on the way.
