Short Everest Base Camp Trek Route

Short Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal begins with 35 minutes flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Our first move will be towards Phakding, then heading towards Namche Bazaar, a renowned Sherpa village. The Lukla flights may be delayed if there is bad weather, with an average delay being 24 hours. We can be flexible and change the itinerary to catch up on lost days, but if the planes can’t fly for more than 4 or 6  days then there is little to do besides waiting.

Occasionally, the helicopters can fly, if you prefer we can arrange it with the additional charge.

After the completion of passport, immigration, and visa procedures, our airport representative will meet you outside the airport terminal building (look for your Nepal on placard). After morning breakfast, transfer to the Tribhuvan Domestic Airport and fly for 30 – 40 minutes from Kathmandu (TIA) to Lukla (Tenzing – Hillary Airport). At Lukla, we meet our rest of crew members and start packing and arranging them. The journey starts after paying fees and registering at Lukla Tourism Check point. The trail enter through PasangLhamu Sherpa Memorial gate and drops down to Thalsaroa and Cheplung with the great views of Himalayan vistas. From Cheplung, the trail crosses ThadoKhola via suspension bridge. On the way to Ghat, we get the astounding views of Mt. Khumbila (5,761m). Today we start our hike with a gentle climb to Duglha located at the end of the terminal moraine. We then climb uphill on a steep trail to ChupkiLhara.
