Ghorepani Poonhill Trek 6 days route

The adventurous 6-7 hours of ride from Kathmandu takes us to Pokharaand then 1 hour of the ride toNayapul. Our trekking will then start from here. Ahead you will pass through the rice terrace and Modi Khola valley till Tikhedhunga. After crossing the Modi Khola, you will ascend to Ulleri Hill.

Enjoy walking through the rhododendron forest and varied local people. You will get to see the view of snow-capped mountains, stone-paved trails, villages, and varieties of vegetation. The next day, we will trek along Modi Khola to Birethantiand then climb to Ghorepani(2,855 m). You will immerse yourself in the beautiful Magar village of Ghorepani.

Ghorepani Poonhill Trek Permit

On this day, we will begin our preparation for the trek. We will talk to our guide and do last-minute shopping. Later, we will explore several UNESCO World Heritage sites in Kathmandu. Kathmandu includes Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Pashupatinath Temple, Patan Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. We will spend our night in Kathmandu.

We will head to Pokhara, which is a lake beautiful lake city. Our bus will leave at 7 in the morning, and we will experience the windy roads which take us through rural Nepal. You will also see the landscape drastically over the due course of time and rivers converging. We will reach Pokhara, and you can spend your evening in the Lakeside. Pokhara is one of the most beautiful cities in Nepal, thanks to its beautiful lakes and the view of mountain ranges. Also, on this day, you can opt for a flight too.

Our journey will start early in the morning as we make our way to Nayapul. The bus ride will take about 2 hours. On reaching Nayapul, we shall rest for a while and then start our journey on foot to Tikhedhunga. We follow the trail ascending through the rhododendron, garlands, and magnolia forests until we reach Tikhedunga. During the walk, we will walk through the Gurung and Thakali villages, which allows you to immerse and learn the local culture as well as lifestyles with astonishing overlooking views of the mountains. Today's hike will be relatively easy and short to reach Tikhedunga.

On this day, we will make our way to Ghorepani. Today trekking to Ghorepani is mostly climbing on stone stairs through beautiful forest teeming exotic floras and faunas. We will start with a couple of hours of the hike until we reach Ulleri(2070m) and then cross Banthanti. In these settlements, you will mostly see the people of the Magar community. The trail primarily consists of stone steps and will take us through forests and occasional stops to rest.
Ghorepani is a beautiful settlement perched on the leeward side of the hill. Upon arrival, you will be genuinely shocked by the breathtaking views of the magnificent mountains that surround the Ghorepani.

Today is the third day of the trek- an exhilarating day to observe the sunrise over the Himalayas.

On this day, we will head to Poon Hill early in the morning to catch the sunrise. It is recommended to leave at dawn from Ghorepani and make way to Poon Hill. Witness the famous sunrise from Poon Hill, and you will also be able to catch the view. It includes Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Tukuche Peak (6920m), Nilgiri (6940m), Varaha Shikhar (7847m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna III (7855m), Machhapuchhare (6993m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna II (7937m), Lamjung Himal (6931m). After our morning adventure, we will get back to Ghorepani for our breakfast and carry on with our journey to Tadapani. The trail again takes us through forests and stone-paved paths. After walking for about 4 hours, we will reach Tadapani, where we will rest for the night.

On this day, we will head to Ghandruk, and the decrease in the altitude will make our journey smoother. The trip offers magnificent mountain ranges, and we will also come across forests laden with rhododendron flowers. We will reach Ghandruk in about 4 hours. Ghandruk village predominantly consists of people of the Gurung community. Ghandruk offers a serene view of the mountains such as Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna (7455m.), Annapurna III (7755m.), and Machhapuchhare (6993m) and Ghandruk is also very famous for bird-watching.

This day will be the last day of trekking. After having breakfast with the rewarding view of the Himalayas, we will then walk down to Nayapul. Today's trek is mainly downhill and passes through villages such as Sauli Bazaar and Birethanti. After arriving at Nayapul, we will drive back to beautiful Pokhara city. You will have spare time to hang out and shopping in the Pokhara in the evening.
