Everest Three High Passes Route

Everest Three High Passes Route begins with a breathtaking and adventurous flight from Kathmandu to Lukla Airport. From here, we will trek to Phakding through the Sherpa village and farmland. The next day, we will start with an adventurous suspension bridge over fast-flowing rivers to reach Namche Bazar. Further, we will ascend to ThameLungden, and Gokyo via Renjo La Pass (5,465 m/17,520 ft.). Wildlife and view of the Himalayas add excitement to your trekking. From Renjo La, the sparkling vista awaits like Everest, Lhotse, Makalu will be shining due to sun rays. Further, we will trek from Thangnak to Dzongla via Cho La Pass (5,420 m/17,782 ft.). To reach Dzongla, the trail is challenging because of rocky trails and glacial moraines to the top of the pass.

Today the trek will be exciting as we are heading to the Everest Base Camp. We will trek through the lateral moraine of Khumbu Glacier for about 2.5 hours. As we reach Gorak Shep, we wi witness beautiful snow-capped mountains looming all around us. After many efforts and an exciting view during the walk, we will reach Everest Base Camp. We feel a rush of pride in our body, appreciating the efforts and dedication to achieve a lap of Everest. After spending some time at base camp, we will head back to Gorak Shep. Early morning we will hike to Kalapatthar at dawn to view the sunrise on Everest. After the fantastic view, we will head toward Lobuche. Further, we will trek to Chhukung via Kongma La Pass (5,535 m/18,159 ft.). We now then descend the valley of Imja Khola, trek through the village of Tengboche. During the walk, you will see the panoramic views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and Lhotse. We will also visit the Buddhist monastery at Tengboche. From here, we will trek to Namche Bazar and to Lukla. If everything goes as scheduled next morning, we will fly back to Kathmandu, enjoying the view of the Himalayas and green hills during the flight.

Our representatives will be at the airport to receive you. After reaching the hotel you can rest from your long flight. Enjoy your Nepali cuisine later in the evening at Thamel.

We will have a free day in Kathmandu today which you are free to spend as you please. You will meet your guide for the trek. We will prepare for the trek and if you have any last-minute shopping, this would be the time. There is also the option for a guided tour upon additional charge around the popular cultural sites of Kathmandu, including Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and more.

We will take an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. This flight will offer you an amazing view of the Nepali landscape. You will see spectacular mountain ranges, and this will leave you thinking of what's to come during the trek. After landing in Lukla, we will rest for a while. Our trek will start from here as we make our way to Phakding. The journey to Phakding is a beautiful one. Initially, we will descend through the trail and get to our first stop - Chheplung. We will carry on with our journey and cross a suspension bridge to reach ThadoKoshi village. We will then take an uphill trail and reach Ghat. After an hour, we will finally reach the last stop of the day.

On this day, we will head to Namche Bazaar, which is one of the most significant towns in the Everest region. We leave early in the morning, head through the forest trail, and first come across the village of Toktak (2760m). After Toktak, we will then reach Bentak (2710m). We will come across massive pine trees, and these pine trees and covered with rhododendron flowers during spring. We will then reach Monjo, which is the gateway to the Sagarmatha National Park. Here, we will show our trekking permits. Our next step will be Jorsale (2830m), and we will continue our journey until we reach the famed Namche Bazaar.

We will head out early in the morning. The trail is relatively easy compared to what lies in the later parts of the trek. Enjoying the scenic beauty of this region, we will trek for four hours to Thame, where we will be resting for the night.

As we getting near the main parts of the trek, the altitude starts increasing. From Thame, the trial will still be relatively simple. We will reach Lungden in about 4 hours where we will rest for the night.

From the small settlement of Lungden, we will set out early in the morning. The ascent of Renjo La will be quite challenging but well worth it. The pass offers a stunning panoramic view of the mountain ranges and clear skies. After enjoying the beauty of the Renjo La Pass, we will head through a rugged and rocky path down to Gokyo. After the tiring climb from yesterday, we will rest on this day. Our tea houses will be located very close to the lakes. Enjoy the stunning view of the mountains and the lakes. Also, spend the day exploring the serene valley and glacier, which also helps you better acclimatize. Gokyo Valley is famous for its pristine lakes and stunning view of the mountain ranges. We will make way to Gokyo Ri, which is situated at an altitude of 5300 meters. From here, we will be able to witness the beautiful sunrise. We will then head back to Gokyo and rest for the night.

We will head out of the famous Gokyo region for a short trek to Dragnag today. We are getting closer to the classic Everest Base Camp trail now. We will be resting for the night at Dragnag and sleep early to prepare for the tough climb ahead.

We will head out from Dragnagto to cross the Chola Pass, which is at a staggering altitude of 5340 meters. The trail is barren and rocky, and it usually snows at the Chola Pass, so you might be lucky enough to witness the beauty of this pass. Enjoy the stunning beauty of the mountains and the surrounding landscape. We will then make our way to Dzongla, where we will rest after a tiring day.

This day will surely be one of the highlights of the trek. We will leave Dzoglavery early in the morning and set out for Gorakshep through Lobuche. After Gorakshep, we will head to the base camp of the highest mountain in the world. Enjoy the stunning view of the mountains and also of the surroundings. After savoring your moment at the Everest Base Camp, we will head back to Gorakshep, where we will rest for the night.

On this day, we will head to Kala Patthar to catch the sunrise. The trail will be quite challenging, and we will be walking during dawn, so you must carry your torch. The trail is quite rocky and narrow. From Kala Patthar, you can watch the sunrise, and it is from here, you will get the best view of Mount Everest. We will then head back to Lobuche for our breakfast. We will be spending the rest relaxing at Lobuche.

From Lobuche, we will set out to cross the Khongma La Pass, rejuvenated from the day of rest yesterday. The Khongma La is challenging to cross but offers scenic views, much like the other two high passes. After making our way through Khongma La, we will head down to Chhukung, where we will be resting for the night.

After breakfast, we will head out from Chhukung (4700m/15420ft) towards Tengboche, our destination for the day. We will gradually make our way through the villages of Dingboche and Pangboche as we descend below the 4000m mark. The trail is somewhat easier to trek on compared to the challenging passes from the last few days. We will be resting for the night at Tengboche.

As we are on the final lap of the trek, the altitude starts decreasing from Tyangboche (3,870m/12,700ft). We will head out early in the morning. The trail will be relatively simple compared to the trail of the earlier days. We have the option to stay at Namche Bazaar or to head further to Monjo. We will decide on this day. As this will be the second last day of walking, enjoy the scenic beauty of this region.

This day will be the last day of walking for us as we complete the last lap of the trek. We will complete the remainder of the trek as we reach Lukla. As we leave Monjo we will encounter a trail that descends steeply until we reach the airstrip of ChauriKharka. We will come across Phakding and Chopling villages until we finally reach Lukla where our trek will end. Enjoy your last night in the Everest region and celebrate your success.
